The Manifest
Things to Bring
A guide for the new guys and a reminder for the veterans. The river takes what it wants, whenever it wants. Pack accordingly.

The Vessel
- ▪Kayak (preferably without holes — one piece roto-modeled sit on top is NON-NEGOTIABLE)
- ▪Paddle. And a spare paddle. Yes, really.
- ▪Life jacket
- ▪PFD that fits. We don't fish bodies, we fish for fish.
- ▪Dry bags. Multiple. Trust nothing the river touches.
Sleep System
- ▪Sleeping bag rated below 40°F (ask Adam why)
- ▪Hammock with rainfly + straps OR ground tent
- ▪Sleeping pad
- ▪Pillow — bring it. You are not 22 anymore.
Food & Fire
- ▪Stove + fuel (do not pack two stoves and forget your sleeping bag)
- ▪Mess kit, spork, enamel mug
- ▪Two dinners, two breakfasts, four lunches
- ▪More details to come on Jimmy's mom cooking *you* gourmet meals for this trip (extra cost)
- ▪Coffee. Real coffee.
- ▪Lighter, waterproof matches, fire starter
On the Body
- ▪Quick-dry layers. Cotton is the enemy.
- ▪Insulated layer for night
- ▪Rain shell
- ▪Camp shoes you don't mind sacrificing
- ▪Hat. Sunglasses on a strap.
Tools & Safety
- ▪Life jacket
- ▪A REALLY good pair of water shoes (Astral is STRONGLY preferred and you're a dumbass if you don't get them)
- ▪Headlamp + spare batteries
- ▪Knife (try not to lose it in the rapids — Trent is busy)
- ▪First aid kit
- ▪Throw rope · 50 ft
- ▪Cordage · paracord
Non-Negotiables
- ▪A positive attitude
- ▪A clean liver (relative)
- ▪$275 confirmation via Venmo @Jimmy-Allgood
- ▪Your robe (if you've earned one)
- ▪American AF attire
